I can honestly say I love to go to work. Our students come to school ready and eager to learn. It is cool to be smart at The Country School. Students encourage eachother to reach their full potential - that's the kind of peer pressure that works for me. The best part about being in a school where students grow and develop over a ten year period is the positive relationships that I can have with my students. I look forward to seeing them back each September where we pick up where we left off in June.
Our sons attended the Madison Public Schools but we were disappointed with how uninspiring instruction was in the public system because of all of the Connecticut Mastery Test 'test prep'; also, teachers seemed 'fried' in the public school. Country has been anazing! Rich curriculum, inspired teachers, kids who love to learn and explore, respect for being a kid/for play/for exploration, tons of extra-curricular opportunities, music, art, clubs, a real sense of community and purpose, mentoring of younger kids by older kids, community service - you name it, Country has it! We work extra jobs to pay for TCS and it is totally worth every penny!
I did a lot of research before choosing a school for my child.I have found The Country School to be everything I was looking for in a School. It is a wonderful environment for children to grow .I found it to be academically challenging and still have the sense of a small nurturing environment where they encourage children to be socially responsible. The faculty is extremely capable and are very involved and dedicated to meeting the individual needs of students. I really can't say enough nice things about TCS. My daughter goes to school enthusiastic about learning and I go to work at ease that she is in a safe environment that encourages her to be the best she can be.They have a variety of extracurricular activities and there is something for everyone. If your looking for a great place to send your child this is a fabulous place to check out.
The COuntry School is a wonderful place for children of all ages to grow, explore and become. The academics are engaging, challenging, and always bringing your child to the next level. Chidren are taught to think for themselves, to be resourceful, to be independent, to be self-sufficent while having the continuous support of staff and school directors. I have had my children at the school for six plus years and the opportunities provided for both of my children have been wonderful. They love school, miss school during summer vacations and always look forward to adding and being apart of the school's community. I can't think of a better way for a child to start a morning by stating how they can't wait for the school day to begin. A big thanks to the school who is a home-away-from home.
