We have had nothing but positive experiences. The staff is highly professional and loving at the same time. After moving into to town their academics was brought to a new level. Both of my children still talk about their elementary teachers at Ryerson.

Our family's experience here has been mixed. The positive: A strong sense of community, great parent involvement, & many fantastic teachers. The negative: teachers are required to spend much time teaching to the CMTs. Mandatory, numerous, redundant worksheets are the norm. Not enough room for teachers to be flexible & creative with the curriculum in their own classrooms. Our greatest concern: We got no support from the school for our 2e child. Had to switch to private school for an appropriate education. We fought the school for a yr for accomodations. They wouldn't budge, claiming that when he began failing in middle schl/jr high, he'd probably qualify for services then. We believed it was a budgetary decision to pass our son's needs onto the next school level. We've since learned many of the learning issues my son has now could've been remediated if he had rec'd appropriate services early on.
