Strong parent/teacher group. School won Blue Ribbon in '09 I believe and was chosen as CT Elem. school of the yr in 2011. For the most part, excellent school.
My 2 children attend Thomas Hooker, there is a new Principal this year. The teachers are very hard working. My 8th grader is taking high school science and math classes. They offer tutoring and for the most part it is very secure. Your child can be in band as well. I do wish they taught a second language.
My child is completing his final year at Thomas Hooker this year and all I can say is that it has been the best in all aspects. The school staff will be missed.
