NHR hs is a synergistic mix,the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. NRH has great kids, very good teachers, it is a brand new facility and offers much in the way of a forward thinking curriculum.

Although this is a really small school and it tends to be underfunded, I really enjoy it here. The staff is great, and we have a strong music and arts program that I really enjoy. There are both accelerated and academic classes for each class, and AP classes are available. There are also so many different electives to choose from that each person can pick one that they enjoy.

My family has been in this school since it was built. It is the perfect school for a small town. Here you get personal attention and opportunities that others in larger schools may not get

Nathan Hale-Ray High School has come a long way. For a small school the sports are not that great but the softball is unbeatable. Academics are on a high. New requirements for graduation include 28 credits (from class of '06 and on), completed portfolio, wise projects (optional) and a 3 or better on CAPT testing. Hale-Ray has turned around a great deal. Staff at Hale-Ray are committed to rising test scores on standardize testing. Hale-Ray provides numerous clubs including drama club and dance team. They also have a steadily growing marching band!

I have had a child graduate from Hale Ray and it was a fine school- many students go on to college and become doctors and lawyers. Others have families but I don't know of any child that doesn't end up with a life long friend. Being a small school is very beneficial. Teachers are very caring and go out of their way to help the students achieve their potential.

Overall, A decent small high school. Curriculum is varied to accomodate interests of all students. Have had some minor incidents with individual teachers but the Administration is fair and willing to work with students to problem solve. Very High marks.
