My son is an alumnus of this school. They provide a superb arts education along with standard high school curriculum. Students are encouraged to continue on to college and the guidance department really does their job.

Sending my daughter to CoOp was a very good decision. The administration staff & most of the teachers are top notch. They are a secure school; they attend to each student's needs; they discuss with parents anything that needs attention & they correct it; most of the teachers are great with the kids; there is a genuine care for the students, & the arts programs are the best. (Especially the dance program!) The school is diverse. My daughter gets a well-rounded education at CoOp. She is challenged academically to achieve her very best. Teachers are on hand for after school extra help, if need be. This, her first year in high school, I thought would be a nightmare because of the shocking transition for her from middle school, but she's doing very well! Kudos to teachers and administration staff! Keep doing what you do best! J. C., Milford, CT

Great student body, a few amazing teachers, a terrible facility (until next year), curriculum and administration.

The curriculum is much easier than a suburban highschool. It almost feels like middle school because the administration doesnt give as much freedom as other school. They are over secure, and overprotective. The school is also very poor. Every group gets along though. Black kids are nice to white kids, popular kids talk to the nerdy kids. There arent stereotypes. The art teachers are phenomenal. They really care about the students. Especially theater.

I am very pleased with Co-op - I'm on my second child, and both have done very well. The teachers are great, the administration is great.

This school is very good when the student who applies is determined to succeed in the art they have chosen. Otherwise, don't even bother coming. Music programs get 10/10, other arts are just as good, but the academics are otherwise lacking.

Our child has been in this school for 2 yrs and it has been the best 2 yrs for her and us. The arts and academics that are offered are really superb. The kids treat each other equal. The staff is so easy to work with and very helpful. Principals and guidance work hard with each kid. Environment is very safe and truly this child is so happy she made the choice to Co-op. I would recommend a shadow day. This is where the incoming student follows another Co-op student for the day. We did this and our child knew that day that this was for her. We would recommend this school for anyone who is truly into the arts and wants a really good education. There are opportunity's out there that we would never have known about w/o Co-Op. Good Luck!

Best decision I ever made was to send my son to this school - Traditional high school would have been a nightmare.

Co-op High School is an excellent place for students to grow artistically and academically. The school offers unbelievable opportunities for their students to participate in programs they could never have the chance to in a traditional high school. By the time I graduated, I had attained the equivalent of one year of college credits, all at no cost to myself or my family. Co-op is definitely a remarkable place that has changed my life forever.
