I find the school to be disorganised, they lack communication with parents. I find the class size in the primary building to be to large, 22 kids (under the age of 6) and 2 teachers. My son learned very little and will repeat kindergarten ( at a different school )
I find the primary head teacher has no control of her class and no follow through with parent communication.
Fantastic, nurturing, dedicated staff and a beautiful learning environment encourages kids to develop the skills for divergent thinking and a life long passion for curiosity and self motivated learning. The curriculum is well balanced and emphasizes positive social interaction, role modeling and compassion as much as academics. Located on a historic farm, the kids care for llamas, chickens and a school garden. Mixed age classrooms are in inspiring converted loft -barn buildings which create a very unique learning environment. Our children are very happy and successful with the program, and so are we. Worth the drive!
Beyond pleased with the quality education my children are receiving at MDS. The education extends beyond the classroom and they are learning life lessons and the importance of working together within a community. Worth every penny, and the 30 minute drive!
