putnam is a wonderful school. there is always help for kids who need it!!! it gets children ready for the real world. unlike other schools that try to put kids in a complete bubble they let them know about the 'world ' and try to make it as realistic as possible. it has been a great experience for the students
This school is very good, and the teachers are all very supportive of the children. Bullying issues are taken seriously, and there are so many extra-curricular activities for students to join. My children are both Honors Students, and very active in the school.
This school only cares about test scores and poularity. If they come across a 'square peg' they chisel and chisel until that child is ready to snap. Rules only apply to those whom they deem unworthy. I had children on both ends of the spectrum at this school. I've seen the action first hand. My children are BOTH doing great now that they are out of this crazy place. Trust me, get a second job or whatever you have to do to keep your children from this school!
I think the teachers and principal are doing the best and over what they should do according to the local and state budget issues. I feel they are being overlooked and deserve a spotlight. They keep the students spirits up regardless of the issues at hand.
My son was new to this school this year, the teachers and the students made my son feel welcome. He has a lot of friends ,and he likes all his classes. The staff at the middle school is very involved and caring.I feel he learnes more here than at his last school. And all the extra activities, like music, and diffrent sports are great. Seeing my son come home with a smile on his face and telling me about his day, makes me happy. And he never says I dont want to go to school!
This is a horrible school for bullying. The kids here have no respect for teachers or elders in general. The quality of education is poor and the district is one of the worst in the state. If you move to this district, I would reccomend sending your child to a private school.
Terrible reception for special needs children. A lot of bullying is tolerated.Teachers (most not all)don't show concern for the children.
