I think EWS is nice enough, though in retrospect I would not have chosen to attend here. I like most everything except the academics, which is unfortunate considering this is the quality from which I gauge the school's excellence. Simply put, EWS's culture of academic performance is one of mediocrity. EWS does not assign enough homework nor expect much of its students, with classes going at an absolutely horrifically slow pace. Despite taking 8 classes (the maximum amount allowed) and having one of the most 'difficult' course loads of my grade, I find myself not challenged by the school at all. As a student, I should be complaining how hard school is, not how easy it is! Send your child elsewhere if you wish for strenuous academics.
It is the best school in CT!
I went to this school last year and I had the best year of my life! The students there are SO nice and you have so much fun. I made friendships that will last a lifetime! Ethel Walker is truly a wonderful school.
