Our kids attended 2nd thru 5th and 5th thru graduation when we moved here. This is an exceptional school as all the awards and accomodations indicate (sometimes these things are questionable, not here, this school deserves all the accolades). The teachers are great and I bet that came from the wonderful leadership of their long time principal, Mr. Graffim. An experienced educator, he guided us through any issues we had, such as, one child, who, after testing consistently high, routinely performed only average. There were no other issues really, the teachers each responded very well to our kids' changing needs. The other child, a high achiever, lacked confidence and had perfection issues, these "other than acedemic concerns" we felt were very willingly worked on w/ our kid, and we saw this same love and care given to all sorts of different needs as we spent a little time particpating w/ school events. Sometime as parents we tend to emphasize test performance type of things. These are measures of perhaps inate qualities and current attitude. Also very important for any kid's development is the quality of their moments and comfort in thier daily life, kudos to Wapping Staff!

Great staff, faculty and PTO. No one is ever a 'number' at Wapping!

Wapping Elementary School is not just a school but a community of its own. It's small size (physical and student body) promotes a family atmosphere. The school building itself is well-maintained and beautiful -- by far the nicest looking school in South Windsor. The administration, teachers and staff are all top-notch.

What an amazing school.... We love it!! The teachers and staff are great and know what they are doing. We have a child with ADHD and I can't begin to tell you how amazing his experience has been so far this year. His fourth grade teacher, Mr. Giansanti, is absolutely outstanding and goes way above and beyond in supporting our child and us as parents. His Special Ed. Teacher, Mr. Francis, is outstanding as well and has been able to get our son so excited about school and he now is happy and willing to be at school. The PPT meetings are also the best... so much info and willingness to explore the parents point of view. I love the support and kindness my son and our family have experienced at this wonderful school since the year began. I can't wait to see what happens next.

This is an exceptional school. The staff is highly trained and dedicated to deal with special needs children which include severely disabled autistic and medically fragile students. They are equally excellent with regular education students. Good staff, leadership and family involvement. My child loves Wapping.

My Grandchildren attended Wapping for two years and the experience was wonderful. Their every need was met by the staff, from secretaries to the principal. The teachers make sure that a child learns. They are very involved. They always called us if there was a problem. The children miss Wapping very much. I feel thats an indication of the wonderful work that is going on there. The level of parent involvement is very high

We have been very pleased with this school. Our son has needed additional consideration because of ADHD and reading difficulties. The first grade teacher, the specialized reading teachers and the other staff have been exceptional in helping our son and undstanding his needs. In particular, Miss Rotondaro, his first grade teacher, has gone above and beyond in helping our son. There are other teachers on staff that have received national awards. The programs are excellent and we have been very happy with our son's education.

Staff is wonderful, caring and hard working. Great communication between teachers and parents as well as students. As a parent of second grader and third grader I take my hat off for the improvement of my kids reading and math skills which they had some diffeculties in the past. Well done and keep up the good work.
