Teacher effectiveness: Strongly agree

- a
The teachers are very dedicated and seem to love their jobs. The teachers are effective in that they teach to the individual student and not to a test.

Amount of homework: Agree

Overall, the amount of homework has been just right. If you want your child to have a solid academic foundation with Catholic morals and become a life-long learner, then St. Michael School is the school to choose.

Develops character: Strongly agree

St. Michael School teaches morals, with honesty, integrity and respect being at the forefront. The children learn to be respectful and become outstanding members of the community. There is a lot of community outreach to the local Pawcatuck Neighborhood Center and other area shelters.

St. Michael School provides a safe, nurturing and challenging environment. This school has done wonders for my children who were shy when they began their education. We chose this school because of the affordable tuition and have not been disappointed. The teachers and support staff are very caring and cater to the individual learner.

St. Michael School provides a safe, positive Christian environment for learning with the academics above standard. It is heartwarming to witness this environment where the older students nurture the younger ones and the younger students seek to emulate that someday. You do not have to be Catholic to go here. Great educational investment!

We have found St. Michael School to be a very positive and nurturing environment for our child. The teachers have been terrific and prepare the children for middle school and high school. I have looked at the work that our child s peers are doing in the public schools and our child is ahead of those children in what they are learning. In my opinion, this school is one of the best kept secrets of nearby schools and a definite school to consider if you are new to the area or you feel your child needs a new learning environment.

I have two middle school children here that have been enrolled since Kindergarten. If a small and nurturing atmosphere with a rigorous curriculum is what you are looking for, then this is the place for you. Wonderful teachers, core values, and very strong academics are just a few of the qualities that make this school so great. Students are very well prepared for high school after graduating from St. Michael School.

Great value for the cost. Wonderful teachers. Student teacher ratio is perfect. Kids are taught respect.

Great school, warm environment. My children have gone to this school for 4 years now and we are very happy with our choice to send them here. The faculty is warm and welcoming and the students are not only exceeded area standards academically but are really taught how to be admirable children and citizens. The only things we don't like about SMS is that there is no gymnasium so the chldren have to eat lunch in the classrooms and have no where to go for recess on rainy days. Hopefully this will be taken care of in the future with the impending construction to all affiliated buildings.
