Wonderful, diverse school with caring staff. Students are very motivated as demonstrated by their perseverance to raise money to bring Tina Meier to address the school on Cyberbullying. I feel lucky to work there and with these children.
This is my son's 1st year at TMS. I had major concerns since he was bullyied in grade school. My son has always struggled and received extra help but always was a B student. Since he has been going to TMS, I have not had one problem, the teachers are all wonderful and my son just got his report card and rec'd 4 A's and 2-B's. He loves the school and the teachers are very encouraging with him. My experience so far has been excelent. (I do aggree though that not enough information comes home about extra cirriculum activies)
Tms has been has been a nightmare, teachers don't listen to kids issues/problems.I'd rather they used some of the millions on better teachers & teach compassion then on a new school. I'd rather pay for a private school for 6-8th grades..Sorry TMS you failed the grade in my book.
I love going to this school, we do get a bad reputation but i really enjoy it there.
This school has been a big disappointment!! This is my daughters first year there and she dislikes it. The academics are very poor, but the music dept has a great program. What ever happen to the three R's. Plus not enough information comes home to the parents to what is happening at school. At this time my child would like to attend a different school (maybe catholic school).
The school is too big. They mainstream too many kids.
Everyone has forgotten that these kids are not adults yet and will be some time before they are! There is not enough information getting to parents on what is going on at the school so we know what clubs or activities your child can try for. I have had two children in this school and nothing has changed over all the years still!
Last year my step-daughter came to live with us in the middle of her sixth grade year.....for the most part everything was okay......then one day she comes home and tells us she got a detention for not having a book cover....please, give me a break....meanwhile down the street one of her fellow classmates never attends school and passes on into the seventh grade no problem....hmmmmm, what is wrong with this picture????
