Having attended Northwest and graduated in 2009, I have to say that the reviews below are shocking and inaccurate. If your spelling is any indication, you clearly have no idea what a great education is. Northwest has small classes, amazing and engaging teachers, and an atmosphere where you will be thrust into leadership positions purely because of the small size of the student body. It is absolutely true that if a student doesn't put in the effort they won't do well, but generally the fault lies with them instead of the teachers. Like any school, some instructors are less than top-notch. On the whole, however, you will be hard-pressed to find a group of individuals more dedicated to assuring that their students are getting the most out of their education. At what other school can you make a sports team with no experience, practice daily for four years, and become the MVP during your senior season? Where else can you claim to know every student in your class upon graduation? The answer is nowhere. As I sit here at one of the top 35 colleges in the country, I have to say that Northwest prepared me to excel in college and in life, a combination that is far too rare these days.

I would never send another child of mine to this school. My daughter attended this high school and the school just promised a bunch of empty lies. When we met with the school in June to discuss the classes my daughter would be enrolled in, they told her she could take certain classes which never appeared on her schedule when school started. The Guidance Office has no idea what they're doing or what the other teachers are doing and were no help at all. I am very disappointed for sending my child here and I will not make the same mistake again.

My son attended Northwest for high school and to say I am disappointed with the school is an understatement. They gave a great pitch and a song and a dance for you to enroll, but never delivered on any of their promises to"... challenge and guide in the pursuit of spiritual, academic and physical excellence..." The school provided a "safe environment for learning but hardly cared if the student was actually engaged, teachers are usually more interested in their own opinions and not of the students. The Guidance Counselling was just a name and provided no help or support during the college application process even though I explained to them on numerous occasion that the process was new to my son and I and we needed some Guidance. I would never send another child to Northwest. While NW boast a 99% graduation rate they don't state that some of these students are graduating with a 1.7 GPA.

I thought that I had a wonderful education at northwest but the other students are arrogant and snobby. The guidance department does and will not help you with your college app's. And only care about the select few students who they feel are amazing.

We as parents could not be happier with the education our son has received from NWC. The teachers and faculty are all very attentave to the students and parents. The drama and music dept. are tops. The teachers are young and very much into their art. In the 2005 graduating class a very large percentage will attend 4 yr colleges. The social aspect for the student are super and the small seze of the school helps the student to accell. We are sorry to see high school end it was such a posative experience.
