They gave me a great education!

My son is in the first grade and he very very intelligent. I like the fact that Forest keeps him on his toes and both of his teachers so far have done a wonderful job with my child without any complaints. I am looking to move but I do not want to until my son graduates from forest. When I do move I want to stay close enough so that my youngest son may also attend forest.

Both my children attended this school. I absoulutly love the teachers and the support system that is in place. I highly recommend Forrest School in West Haven.

I believe that forest has the best teachers around the area with regards to the public school system. Since my daughter has attended the school back in sept. Of 2004, she has done very well in all her classes, and was picked for the student of the month for may 2005. I give special tribute to Mrs. Elizabeth Aceto who teaches grade k pm. My daughter has learned so much from this highly educated teacher and mentor to all she surrounds herself with. It's a shame to see her leave the school, but we wish her well in all of her endeavors.

In 2011-2012 Connecticut used the Connecticut Mastery Test (CMT) to test students' skills in reading, writing and math in grades 3 through 8, and in science in grades 5 and 8. The CMT is a standards-based test, which means it measures how well students are mastering specific skills defined for each grade by the state of Connecticut.
Beginning in the 2009-2010 school year, the Connecticut Department of Education implemented new definitions of what it means to be proficient on the CMT test. The new standards for proficiency are higher than in previous years and the percent of students earning a proficient score is expected to be lower as a result of this change.
