A wonderful introduction to the school environment for a child of any temperament. The teachers and staff are willing and enthusiastic to teach children to love learning. After undertaking a thorough review of available preschools for both our children, we found LCDS to the school with be the most nurturing, friendly, and challenging environment.
Wonderful school! Teachers and staff truly care about the students and their educational growth. As a parent of two children who have attended LCDS I highly recommend it. If you need a program for your five year old, the Kindergarten program is also outstanding.
Awful school that seems to care little about fostering the growth of children. This school has been thriving on its repuation from years past. The director and many of the teachers seem to have little enthusiasm left. As a parent of a former student I strongly recommend you look at other schools in Westport.
Children as individuals during a time when public education thought of them as numbers. My son finished 4th grade there when the upper grades had to be discontinued. Excellent!
A truly outstanding school where the child is respected, valued and promoted in every word and deed. The focus on art, science, music and social values makes their academic program stupendous. This year renovations to the building have made a big improvement in the asthetics, but I would send my kids there even if it were in a cave! I wish it went past K!
Amazing school. Great kindergarten readiness in a play-based environment. Teachers are professional, creative and outstanding communicators. Enrichment programs (science, gym and music) are fantastic taught by the best around. Would highly recommend LCDS.
