Im in my sophomore year of this school, and i absoutally love it! the teachers are so supportive of you and are always there for extra help. Even through our school isnt the newest, its the top of the line for education. Im currently in the health tech program here and im becoming a CNA next year. i would defanitly recommend this school to anyone!

Today was my first day here at Windham Tech and is is the best school you need to experience this School. I love it here.

Tech is a very good school for learning a trade and getting ahead in life however the school is too caught up in school politics to actually take the time to care about your children, and try to help them learn. The no child left behind act is definately nonexistant in that school.

My child attends Windham Tech. My child has excellent shop teachers, however a few of the other teachers lack the ability to deal with children with handicaps. My child is constantly criticized and treated like a bad child because of the disability. There is a real lack of training and disision making abilities in this regaurd. Some teachers retain grudges against children and don't see the efforts and the changes the child is trying to make. Some of the projects the children must do have nothing to do with their courses of study (art). They do have an excellent principle a Doctor Fred Ashton, who has made every effort to communicate with me and help out my child. My child was punched in the face in front of a teacher. She had every chance to defuse the situation before it exculated to this but did not.

I attended this school a few years ago, so I'm sure some changes have occured, but I think this is a great school. All of the teachers are very supportive. I attended before there were many 'female' shops offered, but I (as a female) was treated equally among the predominantly male students. Although the regular classes should have been more challenging, I truly enjoyed my experience attending Windham Tech. I think it's a great school.

The admission policy needs some overseeing by other professionals. It appears that the principal makes all the decisions there is no appeals process. Once in, the shops are well organized but the goals do not offer alternatives to students who have the ability to expand their horizons. Square pegs fit well as do round ones but a different one does not have choices. Structure and discipline are excellent if that is what your child needs. Minorities are respected and appear to be treated fairly as is the rest of the population female and male. Males are the administration, few female teachers, very sex roles divided. Females do females work, but males are in all classes as are females but males predominate male roles as do females in nursing and males in automative.
