Center School

The teaching staff at the school are very friendly and go out of their way to help the children. The school does not offer a venue for above average or gifted children to participate in more challenging work.

I moved to Willington for the schools! You get a private school feeling because of the class room sizes and family atmosphere, but the best of public school education with very qualified teachers and administration. Test scores do not tell the whole story here! Excellent Principal who truly, truly cares about our children. My 2nd grader is reading 5th grade level books and enjoys going to school every day!

Great school with lots of options for children with developmental/learning delays. The school offers very little in terms of options/programs for 'gifted' children. School would benefit from offering opportunities for advanced students to participate in cross-age grouping, individual projects, and mentoring. Staff is very friendly with children.

The teacher/student ratio is wonderful at Center School; striving to keep the class sizes small. The school motto is 'Do Your Best, Bee Your Best' and each child is encouraged to do their personal best at all times. The teachers are highly skilled and work hard to bring out the best in each child. The principal is great and makes it a point to be involved in the day to day activities of the children/classes. He knows each child by name and is well respected by them. I wouldn't want my child in any other elementary school!
