School that is lacking in Academics standards. Other neighboring towns expect more from their students and parents. They falsify grade on report cards, stating a 2 is approaching grade level but when I inquired they told me my child was almost a year behind in that subject. Year after year they have done this. The administration is afraid to get parents involved and they keep parent involvement out of the school. The school relies on the Military stance, " Don't tell unless they ask". they will not tell you how your child is doing unless you ask. You have to extract information constantly . The district needs a major overhaul, were are losing pupil count because people are not moving or buying in Willington.

This school has excellent teachers and wonderful academic programs, with updated, modern technology. I would recommend this school above all other middle schools in the country.

I have to agree with what the students wrote here. Although Mrs. Sullivan tries, I feel that she has created a juvenille delinquent hall mentallity. She has lowered the standards for our children (maybe to help those with behavior problems) but that is just stopping our children from learning valuable social skills that they will need at EOS. She has created a very restrictive environment that makes the children feel like failures. Instead of inspiring them to be responsible & respectful, she tells them how far apart to sit at lunch, do not do high fives because you must keep your hands to yourself etc., etc. I can't wait for my child to get to EOS!

As a graduate of this school back in 2006, I believe that the school needs some polishing up. Not a lot of major work, but work nonetheless. While I was attending the school, I felt that my opinions didn't matter and that I couldn't do anything to help change the way the school worked towards the benefit of me and my fellow students. Yes, the technology was great and we were one of the few schools paving the way in terms of advanced learning. But that doesn't make up for the fact that we weren't taught social skills and how to interact with people. More bullying went on in the halls of this school than I care to mention, most of it left either unnoticed or not dealt with. I think that the school needs to focus more on their students rather than what to teach their students.

I'm a graduate from Hall, I like it a lot. Even when Mrs. sullivan took over it was still a safe learning enviorment, but you still had stuff that happended with students, such as bulling, and stupid stuff we shouldn't have been doing. But overall I found almost all the teachers to be great, but also I moved into the school so I have no idea what its like for younger students. But I like how they had us so envolved in computers and technology. I found it great comapered to the school and town I was prevously from.

I'm in 8th grade, and since Sullivan became principal, the school has gone downhill. She's power hungry and changed just about everything. For example, she just had to change 'Clubs' and give it a new name 'A.C.T.' Also, cameras have been installed everywhere. The technology in the school is nice, but limited by many stupid rules, such as students are not allowed to unplug a laptop, the teacher must do it for them. Also, lunch routines are a complete waste of time. People who bring lunch can't eat until the buyers are called up from their table. Sometimes I'm not able to finish my relatively small lunch, which really annoys me because we only have about 12 minutes to eat out of the 30 minute period. Another lunchroom rule is no more than 10 to a table.(can easily fit 14) All in all, Mrs. Sullivan stinks, and we want Mr.Harding back.

I am a 7th grade student, and I know it's for safety, but there are procedures for the bathroom! There are procedures for everything! I know it's for behavioral issues, but I mean, the school over the summer has turned into a juvenile delinquent center. I also am pretty upset about lunch too. They might give us assigned seating...I am getting a little frustrated.
