I went through this school as did most of my siblings. I am now a teacher myself and have been for 11 years now. I would not recommend it to anyone based on faulty theological training myself and siblings, and many of my schoolmates received. Though they claim to be Biblically grounded, many things do not add up when really examined through scripture such as the sudden laying on of hands, scriptural authority over church leadership, and speaking in tongues with an interpreter. Also, they don't provide many quality extracurriculars necessary to compete with their private and public counterparts. When I got to college, my study skills were great, but I wasn't prepared for the workload nor was I prepared to counter the many other worldviews I experienced.
This school prepared me excellently in academic and spiritual areas for college and my adult career. Praise, Power & Prayer is not just a school; it's a place where children are nurtured, trained, and cared for -- while being held to high standards! I am grateful that the staff at PPPCS wanted the best for me and had expectations that my classmates and I would live up to our fullest potentials; I am even more thankful that they challenged me to pursue godliness in the way that I live. If you are looking for a safe, academically-challenging, affordable private education with an emphasis on Christ, PPPCS is the right place to be!
What a change: My son formally attended the public high school, he was not focused, there were to many distractions and his grades were suffering. I decided to change him mid year it was hard but necessary in order for him to get the grades I knew he could get. Since my son has been at PPPCS his grades have improved greatly he is back on task. Pastor/ Principal McMahon could have told me no it was to late in the year but he didn't. He said if he's willing to do the work to catch up we will be glad to have him. To Pastor McMahon and the teachers at PPPCS thank you for do everything you can to help the children to be successful. Submitted by Parent
At Praise, Power & Prayer Christian School, students are challenged to reach their full potential and to strive for excellence. The teachers are very dedicated to helping the students to achieve their goals. They are also exhorted to Godly living, and the teachers are excellent role models. Students are also taught discipline and self-control, which is greatly lacking in most public schools. I feel that this school in an excellent environment for children to learn and grow both academically and spiritually. You also cannot find a school that gives as much as this school for the price that is charged.
My daughter was at least 2 grade levels behind when she entered Praise Power and Prayer School in the 6th grade. Her teacher stayed after school and tuttored her every day for over 2 months to get her caught up. My daughter is in the 8th grade now and made high honors the last 2 terms, "YEAH"!! What I like even more then the great accademics though, are the strong Christian values that are incorporated into every area of learning.
I am very pleased and impressed with the level of academics that my son receives at PPPCS. The small classes and one on one attention from teachers are a big plus. Knowing that my child is in a safe, nuturting, and Chrisitain enviornment during the day puts my mind at ease. The costs are very reasonable compared to other private christian schools in the area. PPPCS is the best!
Grandson attened this school & it's helped him with the small classes & caring teachers much better than the overcrowded schools & so hard to beleive that they are so much less expensive than other private schools
My daughter has been going to Praise Power and Prayer Chrsitan School for 5 years now and it is the best school a parent could ever send their child. The Teachers go above and beyond to make sure the students learn. They sacrifice so much of their time. My daughter hates to leave school at the end of the day and cries if there is no homework. The atmosphare is great at the school.
