Amity is overall one of the best high schools I have seen in CT. The faculty (98% of them) are amazing and truly want the kids to learn and aspire to great things. The staff are also amazing, I have gotten to know most of the people who work there during the time my 2 kids attended and they are all wonderful people. The parents, some are good, but many (as spoken about before) allow their kids to partake in excessive partying on the weekends, but that doesn't detract from the school itself!

Both of my children attended Amity Regional. It is a fantastic school. The teachers and administrators are top notch. There are many extra-curricular activites and the sports program is second to none. Graduates go on to prestigious colleges and many move back to Bethany, Orange and Woodbridge to raise their own families. AHS ranks as one of the best public schools in the state. Go Spartans!

Amity is certainly an above average school. With Honors/AP classes, a caring faculty (for the most part), and many other opportunites like extracurricular clubs, sports, and drama, Amity provides a great education for students, as long as they are willing to work hard for it.

This is a great school with a lot of 'well to do' families. However, this has its draw backs..The number one thing the kids do on weekends is drink and do drugs, even the very smart kids. Deffinatly not all of them but a disturbing majority. As for the teachers, some of them are the best you will find ever but I think that by chance, meaning when they get an awful one they keep them there to spite the fact that they are not good. Many of the students have been brought to their knees by one of these awful teachers who do not know how to teach...Over all, a child has a great opportunity at this school and it is rated very high as high schools go. My 3 kids have & still attend and it has not been too bad.

I think in general Amity is a good school. They offer a large number of electives for the kids which I think helps them to decide what they want to pursue for a career. I do, however, think there's alot of stuff going on with the kids and between the kids that the faculty isn't aware of that causes alot of peer pressure and emotional issues for the kids.

Amity is an overly competitive school. GPAs are carried out to 4 decimal places, and the teachers are often more interested in showing how smart they are than actually teaching material. School starts at 7:34AM everyday and ends at 2:18PM. This is because they assume everyone will participate in extracurricular Extracurriculars aren't all that interesting. They have clubs that meet for 30 minutes after school. However, athletics are fairly good. Parents are overly involved to the point that they will write college essays for their kids.

Students at Amity are very academicly involved, was well with their extracurricular activites. They offer a wide range of courses; including AP and electives. Passing the CAPT is a requirement to graduate. Also a varity of clubs and social groups are avaliable for after school. The time in which school ends and begins are perfect.(7:34-2:18)The class levels are as followed: AP< Highest Honors 1 2<Average 3 4< Lowest Also this school is safe and well maintained.
