This shows the percentage of teachers who are fully certified to teach in the state, as well as the percentage of teachers who hold temporary teaching certificates.
While teachers with temporary certificates may have industry or educational experience that contributes to the classroom, they may be unprepared for the challenges of classroom instruction. Furthermore, a high percentage of teachers with temporary teaching certificates may indicate that a school has difficulty attracting and retaining qualified teachers.
