I as a parent would agree, that the school though is very nice it does lack the ability to provide proper guidance to struggling students. Also there is a lack of communication and some teachers really don't know what they are doing and are also partial. The new vice principal is very co-operative though.

Children with learning disabilities beware. School is beautiful but the staff is inexperienced with struggling readers, special needs students and problem behaviors. Principal lacks leadership and a sincere desire to help disadvantaged and or special ed students. It is all smoke and mirrors here

I feel that this school always my daughters home. The kids are there five days out of the week and on weekends, they always have homework to keep them busy. My opinion of this school is that they really know how to challenge kids to the maxiam.

This School is great for Children who are 'In The Mould' of the automaton that So Many Teachers and Administrators Want these Days. When you have a Child with minor Learning Disabilities it is another Story....very disappointed as a long time nearly 10 Year Veteran in the District. Very easy to Teach 'A' Students....Even I can do that. Takes a Little Effort to teach a 'C- Sometimes B' Student that has difficulty in Reading/Writing because of a real Documented Disability . It is Pathetic.

My child absolutely loves Olive B. Loss Elementary. He enjoys his interactions with his teachers and classmates. The atmosphere when walking into the school is very pleasant and cheerful. I am hoping that Olive B. Loss is looking into having grades K-5 versus 1-5 since I have another child getting ready to start kindergarden in a few years.

Olive B Loss is an extremely good school if you are looking for a close knit environment where your children come to school and learn with fun teachers and a well planned/executed curriculum you found the right school. Cheery atmosphere with a pleasant theme, my children LOVE it there. Although lacking in in after-school programs and sports, the school does provide music, art, library, computers and Physical Education as part of a daily ritual. The DARE awareness program for the fifth graders is epecially refreshing and overall the school rates a 9 out of 10 to most parents of the children who attend. You can't go wrong when choosing Olive B Loss.
