We are so happy with this school! Our children are currently in first and third grade and we feel that they are receiving a great education and they are challenged in the classroom. The teaching staff here is excellent - our kids can't wait to get to their classroom each day! The friendly competition to excel is awesome. Don't hesitate about choosing this school.

We relocated to DE from New York almost a year and a half ago. My children came in on half of the school year. The atmosphere at Star Hill made it possible for my children to not only fit in, but excel in all studies due to the techniques that the teachers utilize to teach. I'm very impressed with the schools commitment to give the best possible quality education to my children, and I would highly recommend it to anyone who is new to the school district.

After a relocation we enrolled one daughter in first grade and one in 5 grade. In math it is about a half year behind their last school, and home assignments are lacking. Our biggest concern was the neighborhood. I would not go out of my way to recommend Star Hill.

Star Hill Elementary is located in a lower income area, but don't let that influence going there. It has recently been renovated to all new and bright interior. The classrooms are a nice size and teacher/student ratio ranges from 15 to 23 children with one teacher. Parents are always welcome and our family has enjoyed this school. Being military, it is hard to know what's right or not. Well, I would recommend this school. The staff is great and positive. The only thing I think is lacking is better accelerated learning programs. I am not sure they go as far as they should to let your child accel if they are really smart. They have Art, PE, Music every week. I feel that the curriculum is good and that my child is getting a good education for the small size city of Dover,DE.

Star Hill Elementary is a wonderful school I have expierenced a couple of Elementary Schools in the CR school district and I am very proud to say that I have a child that attends Star Hill Elementary, they have a wonderful staff and the monto Tone of Dencency explains exactly what the school is all about this will be the second year my child is attending the school the accomplishments he made last year I can't wait to see him excel this year this school reconizes each child and the ability of them and encourages reading to be the first priority. My child started last year with an attitude that he wasn't sure by the end of the year he had excelled in reading on his own and smiling I am a proud parent of Starhill Elementary
