I love that my children attend Lake Forest North Elementary. I couldn't believe how much my children have learned in such a short amount of time. I appreciate how the teachers always keep me updated about my children especially if there is an issue. I love how the parents are encouraged to be more involved with the school and how we're allowed to volunteer to assist the teacher. I wish we werent moving out of the area. Its going to be hard to find a wonderful school like Lake Forest North :(
The teachers here are good but many of the good ones are leaving or have left. I know that they work hard and deserve to paid well but salaries are not competetive. Lake should work on attracting and KEEPING teachers. The reading program is ok but I don't always understand the math curriculum.
I totally agreee with your unsatisfactory rating of this school. Too many teachers are leaving which has made for a high turnover and a lot of inexperience. This year I decided to choice my kids into the CR district. I want to know that my children are in a top notch district where experience is important.
When my older child went to this school several years ago, it was a warm and welcoming place to be. The new administration has changed that greatly. Parents are not welcomed openly and the best teachers are leaving for other districts in droves. I hope that Lake Forest North can get back to the caring and high standard elementary it used to be.
I have two children in this school, I Loved my kid's teachers, but I do feel that the school needs to improve in other areas. Yes My children moved on, but they need to focus on the important skills of learning.
My son is very happy at LFN. Mrs. Tribbitt is one of the best kindergarten teachers I have ever encountered, and the administration is top-notch. They offer services for children at all levels, and they have a strong support staff of specialists. Overall, my son has been very successful at this school, and it is clearly one of the best elementary schools in the area (and possibly in the state).
We have one child in 2nd grade, and one in all-day Kindergarten. We are absolutely thrilled with the education they are receiving. The teacher's and staff are great to work with. We have no complaints at all...
I am so happy that my children attend Lake Forest North Elementary. It is a Superior rated school and I can see why. They are using many innovative and hands on lessons to educate my children and they love going to school there. It is a welcoming place and the teacher's are wonderful.I wouldn't want to send my kids anywhere else!
I really like the reading program that this school has but beyond that i do not like this school at all. My daughters teacher thinks that all kids are susposed to develope at the same rate, does not factor in that the students are all unique and the bus drivers in this distrect are horrible. If a kindergardener cant sit still for an entire day or have complete focus on an assignment from start to finish than according to them there is something wrong with the child. Over all this is a typical public school where there are some good teachers that are great and some that shouldnt really be there. Some of the programs are great.
Lake Forest North Elementary has a very good reputation within the state and it really is one of the best elementary schools in the state of Delaware. The staff and teachers seem to really care about each and every one of the students and I feel that my children are very lucky to have the opportunity to attend this school.
