This school is devoted to the education as well as love of students with special needs in our area. The teachers and para professionals go above and beyond their duties on a daily basis with these students. The students who attend this school usually have a shortened life ecpectancy, and require continued care from nurses while they are attending school. The teachers and para professionals strive to make sure that the students are not only having fun learning but are doing so in complete comfort and happiness.

My son has attended John G. Leach thru the friends program (typical peer) since his enrollment he has shown tremendous improvement in his speech as well as his social skills. His teacher guides him in the direction of learning to read, write but I was most impressed when he came home told me that he wanted to teach me sign language. My 4yr old son is able to communicate with the hearing impaired with out any assistance, as a parent we don't think about teaching our children a second language and I know in the environment today this will benefit him in life.
