My daughter likes the school and as a father anytime I visited with the teachers we had a good experience. They show concern with her learning and keep us updated with her progress.

I Love this school and dont listen to the parent because none of it is true there are fights but they arent bad and they are strict on bad behavior and unlike parents which arent there 5days a week and are somewhere else those days the edcation is great and its the best there and for those that get beat up and tease its because of them doing something like curseing people out and then blame it on the other person when they get in trouble. So go to this school!!!!!!!

I absolutley love Gunning Bedford. I was an 8th grader in 2009 and have gone there all 3 years and never really had a problem. I loved my class, I was in the most advance class. I feel as if for the most part there was not alot of fights but everyone must understand middle school does have drama. The teachers for the most part are wonderful. They teach you, what you need to know and are ususally always there. They become very close to the students. Also I felt as if my class and I became a family and I love Gunning Bedford Middle School because of that. The only thing I didn't like was the 6 marking periods but thats not the teachers or schools fault. Plus don't complain about the teachers not teaching the students must want to learn! I love this school, it is amazing.

Gunning Bedford is a FANTASTIC school! 2009 was my last year there. I was an 8th grade student. Then i moved on to High School. The teachers there are so down to Earth and can most likely help with with just about everything. The students there are well behaved. There is not a lot of fighting at all. Parents shouldn't blame the teachers or the other students if their child is falling behind academically. Your child is just not paying attention or is picking to hangout or fight other students. When i was in grade school i was doing poorly in 3rd grade but when i came into the Colonial School District my grades were A's and B's. You may here rumors about Gunning Bedford and all the other Colonial School District schools, but you shouldn't believe half the stuff they say because it most likely isn't true. GO GB :D

I am very disappointed in this school's staff including the principlals. My child's first year in public school was 2007. He came from a private school on the Honor Roll and is now failing the six grade. This school only teaches for the DSTP. our children aren't learning and they said my child had a possibility of being place.

I am a student at Gunning Bedford and I love it. It's fun and there is plenty of after school activities. The teachers are pretty nice and down to earth. I wish we had more up to date books in the library. I also like that when the school does the raffle and we get free movie tickets. You could also get $100 savings bonds.

My son attends this school. I find that there is a serious lack of communication between the teachers and parents. The Home-School network is never updated, so you can't check on your child's grades randomly. Bullying seems to be tolerated. The kids are not believed when they have reported incidents unless there is an adult witness, which there rarely are. For the most part, my son enjoys this school, but he is not challenged academically. I am thinking about transferring him in the fall.
