Having 2 children at Holy Angels School I am extremely satisfied with the education they are receiving. Holy Angels not only offers advanced programs for the above average child, but they also have programs for the children who need extra help. I am also pleased with the fact that there is a lot of parent involvement so you are able to not only get to know the teachers but the children too.

We have three children enrolled in Holy Angels School and are extremely pleased with the top notch quality academic programs. I was fortunate to have been afforded the opportunity of an excellent Parochial education at my Parish school and wanted the very same for our children. My expectations are definitely being met; I'm pleased beyond measure with Holy Angels School.

Holy Angels offers a quality Catholic Education in a close-knit Newark Community. A dedicated staff and principal; strong parental involvement and an abundance of Cym Sports beginning at third grade level. Parallel Programs are offered for reading as well as math for smaller group instruction and accelerated programs are available for those that need it. Our experience here has been positive and rewarding for our daughters!

I think Holy Angels is a great school. It all starts with the principal. She really cares about doing the best for the children. Very involved staff and parents, high moral values. My kids love it there!

With three children attending Holy Angels, ranging from 1st to 8th grades, I have seen the school improve greatly over the last few years. Advanced courses have been introduced for children who need them. With the addition of the gymnasium, Holy Angels has added a significant resource for athletics at the school. With religion, band, language instruction and special programs such as Math Counts, Science Olympiad, choir, Cubs/Boys and Girls scouts there are enriching opportunities at the school. Parents are involved in many ways through Home and School, which has helped. Holy Angels offers a good education for the money.

With three children currently enrolled in this school, we have found their education to be well-rounded academically, and supportive of our family morals. We would highly recommend this school to others!

With 50 years of experience this school offers a complete package: strong academics, great teachers and staff, excellent leadership, many extracurricular activities, and a high level of parental involvement all based on the morals and teachings of the Catholic Church.

An absolutely fantastic school experience for my children. We came from Public school and we are thrilled to find such a wonderful community and school experience. Children are well prepared for the high school level leaving Holy Angels. Teachers are caring and loving and principal is outstanding.

As the parents of five children we have been very pleased with our experience at Holy Angels School. Our children have always been stimulated both academically and spiritually. They are excited to go to school and we feel comfortable knowing they are in a safe, nurturing, learning and Christian environment. Respect is given to individual learning styles and additional resources are available to those students who may need them. Parental involvement is high and strongly encouraged. This made us feel both welcomed, appreciated, and an important part of this school community.

With one child currently enrolled in this school I find it an advantage in the state of Delaware that a school is able to traet all students as individuals. Nobody gets 'lost in the shuffle' Way better than Public School!

Does not offer adavanced academics to everyone. 7th and 8th grade teachers do not handle students well. Status is based on who you know, not what you know.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
