Townsends special ED program has not been a good experience for my child and I recently had to change schools because of it.
The Principal is too new to give an accurate review at this time, but it seems like she is guiding the teachers and school in the right direction. The teachers are for the most part are detail oriented and very thorough. There needs to be more athletic based extracurricular activities to get the kids outside and exercising. ie; Kickball, Soccer, Two Hand Touch Football, Vollyball, Softball. Parent involvement seems to be very good. My Wife, and two other neighbor moms I know volunteer in the mornings to help some of the teachers. Open House always seems to get a large crowd, including Dads. The discipline level is very well maintained and adhered to. With a good school motto. Overall I give this school a 4 out of 5 rating. There is always room for improvement.
