My daughter started Kindergarten in this school and is now in 1st grade. She loves it and so do I. She started Kindergarten a very shy, reserved little girl and has blossemed into a very friendly 1st grader. I attribute almost all of the credit to her Kindergarten teacher, Mrs. Bryant. What a wonderful wonderful teacher!
I love, love, love this school! Having had my older 2 children in another public school and now my youngest at Linden Hill, I cannot say enough about the school - both principal and staff. I have seen first hand Dr. Bradley interact with children and find her to be very warm, comforting and friendly to the students. Parents and staff respect her and children love her. When problems need to be addressed, results happen. You just don't get a pat on the hand and a smile. My child's and my experience her has all been positive and I would highly recommend Linden Hill to all families.
I do agree that the principle runs a tight ship, however I don't feel this is the right approach for young children. I did not feel she has the tender touch that's needed in an elementary school. Our child subsequently fell behind because he was bullied because he didn't feel she was approachable, nor did we as parents.
The principal runs a very tight ship - the school is run like a well-oiled machine. I would reccomend that you send your child to Linden Hill if you live in the area.
After a very ordinary experience in a private school, we have been thrilled with Linden Hill. The teachers are wonderful. We have not had much need to talk to the principal/assistant but they seem accessible and are clearly very visible and involved. The teachers are very hands-on and have really gotten to know our kids (strengths, weaknesses) This is a school that takes 'child centered' education seriously. It's not just a buzzword to them. Our children are very different in terms of their learning styles. The teachers adjust, not just my kids. The gym teacher was very understanding about gym class 'phobia.' The art teacher is full of enthusiasm. For the first time, I see art as an important class. I'm just sorry we threw our money away on private school for so long!
I was not surprised to see the negative reviews. We too agree with their non inclusive attitude of certain religious groups as we have experienced the same thing. I as a parent was very active in the school precisely because of these issues. I hope this is helpful to anyone who may be from various ethinic or religious backgrounds.
Our child did not have a positive experience at this school. We have found it to be non inclusive of all religions.
We as a family have experience a very negative response from this school.
This school has been a very positive experience for my child. Parents are actively involved with the school. Teachers have been excellent. The Principal and Asistant Principal are highly concerned with the childrens' growth. They also participate with the children on a daily basis. I am highly satisfied with this elementary school.
