I went to pilot school in 1973/74 till about 1976. i then went on to sanford. i do know this as fact, if i had not gone to school there, i shutter to think what would have happened to me, trying to live in the world of today, if i had not gone to school there. it will never ever be easy for any of us with lds but piolt will give you a fighting chance, to make it in this world. before i left piolt, the head of the school had a chat with me as they do to all who leave there. i was told that if i became a teacher, i had a job there. that in its self, made me strong and not freaked out as much, going in to a world, i did not know much about. thank you, piolt....thank you. a student from many, many years gone by. arw.class of 1976.

We are half way through our first year at Pilot. My child is in the middle grades and just doing beautifully at the school. I wish we had moved her there sooner. Pilot is really a model of how all schools should be - small classes, devoted teachers and individual learning plans for every student based on their strengths and weaknesses.

Our daughter was fortunate because we were able to identify her learning differences when she was in kindergarten. She started Pilot in first grade, but unfortunately her confidence was already shaken. She is now 11 and performing beautifully in all academic areas. With every year we have seen tremendous growth in confidence and self-advocacy skills. Pilot teachers and administration know exactly what each child needs to reach his/her fullest potential, providing support while at the same time, gently pushing students to take chances. Our daughter is now a confident, assertive and committed learner. Pilot reaches in and brings out the best and then continues to build and expand on these strengths. The Pilot experience is unique.

Brilliant program that should be the model for all of our children's education, even if they have no specific learning chalenges! Our child started three years ago at Pilot in 2nd grade, having difficulty mastering reading, performing at a mid kindergarden level. She now reads at aa sixth grade level. Bravo to both our Child and Pilot.
