Lisa Lalama, Head of School, is a great communicator and super positive and constructive person. We love having her as Head of School.

Most of the work the kids need to do, working through problems on their own, can get done at school if they really focus and get it done - the possibility of NOT having homework if they get it done at school helps them learn to work hard and concentrate. Though some homework is given to make sure the students get the concept of homework for when they leave WMS.

The kids learn that it's ok to make mistakes and then learn how to fix the mistake. The 3 to 6 year old children use real glass in the classroom and learn that if they break something, they can get the broom and the teacher and clean it up. They don't want to break a glass again, but know what to do about it. No fear.

My 4 kids, who are different from each other in many ways, have all received an excellent education and have had a happy childhood thanks to the low pressure environment. My kids have learned at high levels joyfully and the teachers love and appreciate every child in their care.

Laurie Orsic is always there to lend an ear, whether you want to talk school or anything else. She can solve your problem and make you feel better before you start your day. She has been the reason why several people have chosen WMS, and then have grown to love all the adults in the building.
