I have 4 children and live in a subdivision. The new thing that I have learned this week is. Most teachers give out smartie candies to children as a treat for good behavior or etc. The thing to watch for is the children are chopping them up like drugs and making a line out of them and snorting them up their nose. My 4th grader told me he had seen some children doing that this week and that shocked me. I told him too never do that and to never sniff anything up your nose it could kill you. I am now going to email the school tomorrow, I feel they should know about this and no more smarties should be given out by teachers.
OMG!!! What a shame to think that is what has come from giving out smarties. You should definately call the school to let them now what is going on. It is too bad because there will be some kids who genuinely like eating them.45281
Wow! Who would have thought they would come up with something like that. Especially from fourth graders. I would be shocked and wouldn't know what to say. Be glad your son came and told you about it. I agree. I think I would call the school.45282
