I am looking for a great elementary school for my Autistic child in Bakersfield, CA. Does anyone have suggestions or comments where to go or not go? Willing to move to different districts.

My daughter is 4 1/2 and I think that she is now ready for kindergarten but she isn't supposed to technically start until she's 5 1/2. I'm going to try to get her enrolled 1/2 way through this school year right after she turns 5 in February.

entirely depends on the child and rate of development and/or practice or learning habits. I was reading the paper at 4.

My question is what schools allow your child to enter kindergarten before the age of five, because I notice the school district are very strict, and these includes private and charter schools that they must be 5 by Dec. 5th

Age is a number! Some kids are socially and mentally ready, some aren't. Four is a good time to start deciding :)
