We live in Colorado Springs D49. We have son in 1/2 day Kindergarten at TICA (aka Imagine School in Indigo Ranch.) To put it politely we are less than impressed with their Kindergarten curriculum that is taught in lecture style format. Not opposed to driving to D11 or D20 to find a wonderful school. No special need requirements just needs an engaging teacher that is experience with teaching Kindergarten.

Hi SLPeacock,

You might want to post this question in the Colorado Springs community here: http://www.greatschools.org/colorado/colorado-springs/community.gs?content=2030

Or you can start here: http://www.greatschools.org/find-schools/ and read the parent reviews. I think one of the things you will find is that because of state mandates, most public schools are going to be taught similarly.

You might look at charter schools, but in the end you will likely be looking at private schools.

Good luck.
