W. W. Irby Elementary School

W.W. Irby Elementary School is such a wonderful school!! I can't say enough about how wonderful all of the employees are and how loving they are to the children. It is truly an extended family. I am so glad that my children have had the opportunity to attend this school.

what a Great school! my 1st grader loves school. He enjoys the morning walking club and the library before school in the morning and the Afterschool program, also. All the staff seem to know who he is when we walk through the halls and will comment to me, he's such a great kid! and give a high-five. Really makes a working, single momma feel good about where her child spends the day! A very caring and fun school.

We have 2 children currently going to Irby, K and 2nd. Can't say enough about the teachers, the principal, the resources. A contemporary school with a small town feel. Super school!!!

I have two daughters who attended this school from Kindergarten-2nd grade. We have been extremely satisfied. It is a very clean school with many caring teachers. There are prize incentives for points in the Accellerated Reader Program. The girls really enjoyed that. The school is very open to parent and grandparent involvement. Discipline problems seem to be handled promptly and appropriately. The town of Alachua is a strong Christian community and is a positive reflection in the school. The years we attended, 1999-2004, there were only 19-22 children per class, which was wonderful! Highly recommend this school!
