Great school if you want your children to start out with the best education possible. I currently have 3 children attending and they all are doing very well. I could not be more pleased with the owner, teachers and the rest of the staff. I just wish they could take kids up to 12th grade :-)

REPORTED THEM TO DCF AND THEY ARE GOING TO INVESTIGATE THE PRACTICES OCCURING AT THE SCHOOL! When we go in the classroom we heard the teacher screaming at a boy for not laying still on his mat. He is 3 he is not going to be completely still. Then we realized that all of the kids were on a mat and had a top cover pulled over their head and completely tucked under the mat. I mean completely over the entire body and face and then tucked under the mat. How can they breath and how can the teacher see them to be sure they are ok? My wife and I expressed our concern and told her that is not acceptable for our daughter. The teacher said that is the school rule and we would have to talk to Cindy. We then asked for all of our daughter's belongings and walked up front. We then told the front desk that we were questioning some of things occuring and that we were not ok with what occured and that we would not be back. Please be aware of what happens at this school throught the day not just on a tour. I have spoken to a woman at DCF and reported what I saw and my concerns. She told me they will open an investigation and go investigate the school. Not a good school at all, beware

Terrific! Our daughter has attended Star Child for 3 of her 4 years. She is becoming so well-rounded and we are amazed each week with her progress! Her teachers and assistants are very caring. We cannot say enough great things about Star Child! Thanks to Ms. Cindy, Ms. Shelby, and Mr. Peter for all of your involvement in our childs' future. Happy Parents of a Star Child

Our oldest daughter just left Star Child last year after going from 18 months through 2nd grade. Our youngest daughter attends the 1st grade class. I cannot say enough about how amazing this school is. The expectations of the students push them to be better and stronger individuals in a loving and supportive environment. There is no other school out there like Star Child. This really is the best place for a child to grown and reach their potential.

Amazing School!!! It is a bit of a financial sacrifice for us to have our daughter at StarChild, but it is definately worth every cent. Our child not only does well there, but thrives. They have placed her in classes based on her ability, not her age, which we appreciate. Ms. Cindy is awesome! She listens to your concerns and acts on them. As a parent you can rest assure that you are being heard. We absolutely love StarChild Academy! :O)

I have had two children attend thru pre k and have a 2 yr old enrolled. I have always thought their curriculum is appropriate as this is an academy not a day care center. Cindy and Shelby have always taken my concerns seriously and I feel my children were and are at the best school around! :)

This school is more like a boot camp for kids. The curriculum is not appropriate for preschool. Children are forced to do worksheets, even for homework. Children are lined up against a wall to learn. Teacher turnover is too high.

My daughter is on her 3rd year here and is in Kindergarten. My son is on his second year and is doing the full time pre k program. Teachers are so loving and kind! The owners are so caring about the kids and what they are learning. They really keep up with what is new in education. Every morning my children are greeted by name when they walk in the front door and they are treated the same when they leave each day. I love this place for my children. :)

My 4 year old has been attending this school for almost 6 months- we love it ! She has learned so much in such a short time. I also like that they can get a home cooked breakfast every morning that you can actually sit down and eat with them. Not to mention the security of the building - they have cameras. I log in several times a day from work and watch my daughter as she plays. The owners are always on site, impressive.

AWESOME! Highly recommend it for all children. Structured. But excellent learning. Kids will be ready for 1st or 2nd grade after Pre-K.
