im a student at Jordan glen, an let me just say it is amazing! i only recently moved to florida, and will only be able to spend a very short time at JG, but the few months i am there will change my life forever. the nature, the teachers, the classes, the opportunities! you can not even compare another school to JG. Even though JOrdan Glen is like a family, they all accepted me into their lives and i am so proud to be part of them. JG is my family. i will remember it always, because it has forever influenced my life for the better
I've been going to Jordan Glen my whole and I've never heard of a better school. Everyone's nice and the teacers are amazing!
Unfortunately we did not have a good experience. They are not well equipped to handle 504 plans for special needs.
Jordan Glen is the best thing that has ever happened to my family. The school has been a second home for my children with such a warm, loving, and nurturing environment. You will know that Jordan Glen is different from other schools as soon as you walk up and see the peacocks, chickens, and ducks roaming around the property. The teachers are absolutely amazing and truly care about each student. Jeff, the principal, understands the meaning of a well rounded education and that each child learns at their own pace and in their own way. My children went there all the way until highschool and they were more than adequately prepared for the academics and social aspects of public highschool. I give JG infinity stars...it is a blessing for any child to be able to go to school there.
My son attended JG for roughly two years and I must say out of all of the schools he has attended, JG outshines them all. I believe their approach toward independent learning and thematic studies proves to be advantageous for the developing child. I feel that any child attending this school will receive the type of education that betters them in life. Because of its teaching approach, no child is hindered or simply taught by the book. The children who attend all have sparkles in their eyes, eager to start another day of learning and exploration. Five stars!
JG is the best kept secret in the Gainesville area!! Small classes, dedicated teaching staff, friendly kids and families. My children are better students and individuals because of their experiences at JG. Jeff and the teachers have made us feel welcome from day one and truly love their jobs and opportunity to spend the day with the kids. 5 stars!
Jordan Glen is an excellent small private school (Pre k - 8th Grade) where no child slips through the cracks, and everyone is like a family. All students are challenged to achieve to their highest potential. Located on 20 beautiful acres in a country setting, with bus transportation available from Gainesville.
I am a Jordan Glen alumnus. Both the school and summer camp are incredible programs in which any young person would be lucky to be involved. The school's academics are top notch, and the nurturing environment is beyond compare. Jordan Glen personifies the meaning of 'community,' a characteristic seldom found in today's schools. I only hope that Jordan Glen is still running in full force when I have my own school-aged children!
Jordan Glen is a wonderful, amazing, enriching school. (The parent who complained about the camp must not understand that the camp is something held by other faculty on the same grounds - it has nothing to do with the school at all.) At Jordan Glen, every child is treated as an individual - my daughter is very advanced academically, but is never bored or feels left out. Every child gets to go as quickly as they like. Also, Jordan Glen has tons of outside activities; not only lots of recess, but also, every child gets to choose his or her own electives in the afternoon. In kindergarten, my daughter chose soccer, pottery, yoga, animal fun, super silly science, and of course took music, social studies, and science. Every child there feels loved, every graduate comes back to visit. It is an amazing place.
My child attended the summer program at this school and I was incredibly disappointed. The principal seemed vaguely annoyed and disinterested when I tried to engage in conversation about the program. I had high hopes for JG--I'm glad I used the summer to find out more about them.
