Avon Park Middle School

We have an 'inner city' school right here in our small town. Very unsafe school. Drugs, violence and gangs. Most teachers and administration look the other way. Lack of supervision on campus. Students at this school get a 'street' education instead of an academic one.

Very poor school - avoid if at all possible! Practically ruined my two boys educational careers. The worst of all was the terrible school administration. Totally inept! Some good teachers, but most don't seem to care whether or not the child actually learns. If you are one of the favored families in the county, you will get anything. The rest of us, well...... Small town politics at its worst. What makes this even more of a shame is that I had two girls go through the system about five years prior, and back then it was great. How can they wreck it so badly in just 5 years ! :-<

This is the worst school I have ever had the misfortune of having to send my children to! The administration cares more about the length of students shorts than actually protecting them from harm. The best thing that could happen is to fire ALL the administation and most of the teachers and start over! Then maybe it would be a safer place and students would want to go to school instead of fearing it.
