I am a current Junior a Bell, and I do not agree with the comments below. I have already finished my Associates Degree through dual-enrolment, and I feel that I am being exteemely well-prepared for college. Diversity isnt an issue. Yes, the school in predominately white, but there are other races and cultures also. I personally, think that bell is an excellent school.

I am a former student. The benefit of Bell is the small community which creates an intimate experience, even for the parents. On the downside, Bell High provides minimal opportunities for diversity. Obviously this is what happens in a small school which is located in a small under populated county with minimal funds. This is not necessarily a bad thing. The school provides a great vocational setting and opportunities to succeed at a non-collegeate level. This does not mean that they do not encourage students to go to college; rather it simply means that they are sub-par at preparing a student for college in comparison to larger schools in florida. Bell isn't a bad school, it's a great one! In fact, I am a recent graduate who is currently in Law School, but you do have to realize before enrolling your child that it does focus on vocationals first.

I was a student at Bell High School and graduated in the top 10% of my class! Bell High School did not prepare me for college at all! Not only was I not scholastically prepared, but the school is very segregated, and the students are not encouraged to be open-minded at all. The main focus at this school is football and FFA when it should be education.

Bell High School undeniably has an affectionate staff and teachers, however, as a whole school system, Gilchrist County is off the mark. At this point in time, Honors, AP, IB, and other advanced classes would be incredibly advantageous to students, however none of these are offered to the students. Students aren't being set up for success further down the road in higher-end colleges, and are inadequately prepared.

I've had 2 children go to Bell. The schools focus is seldom on the scholastic aspect. They seem much more concerned on their appearance rather than nurturing adolescense to learn. They don't encourage imagination nor support ingenuity. In all ,they appear to be a school just trying to survive. They will produce a great class of farmers.

I am a student at this school, and I do not believe that the school is segregated, as previously suggested by another student whom submitted a review. Bell high school had an amazing academic program and we have maintained an A average for many years. I am in the ninth grade and am already working to get my AA from a l;ocal community college through the dual-enrollment program at Bell. I would highly recommend sending your child to this school over the other school in teh county, trenton, becaus eI believe that it is better, and cleaner.

I am a former student at this school, and I am of firm belief that you cannot get a worse school in the state. The school/county is very segregated. You're better off sending your children to Trenton, where it's slightly more multicultural.
