I loved this school, while my children attended. I also attended this school when I was a child. The principal is not on some dictatorship craziness and everyone works together for the greater good of the students. This school ROCKS!
There are great teachers at Glade View Elemantary School. However, they are faced with a great number of behavior concerns within the school. If parents would VOLUNTEER at his/her child classroom they will see why teachers find it hard to educate students in the West.
I would rate this school a 5 simply because of the hard work and dedication of the administration and staff. This is the only school to make AYP three (3) years in a row and is currently an 'A' rated school for the 2009 school year.
Glade View Elementary has few excellent teachers but the few do an excellent job by motivating them and offering tutoring. I somewhat agree with the above review. The school does provide clubs at times but they are not constant and are terminated very early in the school year. The school administration is trying to deal with the constant behavioral problem but differences are not always kept professional and my kids have been exposed to constant chastising by some of their teachers and the unprofessional principal whose form of stopping the overall behavioral problem is by intimidation. If your child attends this school I recommend constant volunteer work in the classroom. See for yourself. Don t forget to drop by the cafeteria; it will be an eye opener.
I think Glade View Elemetary is a wonderful school. The learning enviroment is great. It also has lots of fun clubs that your child can be a part of. As a former student of Glade View Elementary, I recommend that any child who wants to have fun while they're learning how to read and count should attend Glade View Elementary.
