Having 3 children in 3 different schools, I cannot express my gratitude for A D Henderson! I am so happy for my child. The school has such warmth, the principal has such positive energy, it is a great vibe all around. The children, whom I have the pleasure of spending time with through volunteer hours are just amazing little people. The teachers I have met so far have such passion for their craft. I love this school. Events-parent involvement-ant-bullying-school spirit-academics- they have it, they get it!!! Way to go henderson...I'm impressed!!!
Whoever says anything bad about the new principalmust to be needing some kind of treatment!!! School has always been great but it got a lot better now. All the kids love and respect her, she is always smiling and always there to help you with anything needed.she is always hands on, a hard worker a real person. Henderson is still the best school around.
Love the school. Kuddos to the teachers and the new principal for making this year the best school year for my children. Yes, they have many rules and they are very strict about them but at the same time they are there to help and to get motivate the students all along the way!
I have been to this school for three years now and honestly I can say that my daughter loves every minute of it. Zero bullies, zero drama just focus in what really is important. Can't beat that!
What a disaster this school has become. Its all hipe! I have decided after a horrible 2 years to remove my children. The principal & vice principal resigned. The new vice principal is useless & has no clue what is going on. There are alot of bad teachers. The academics are poor at best. Hiring a new principal is not enough its a mess. We are still waiting to get our report cards from 2011 its july. I also have no idea what my kids scored on the fcat as well as the sat. The new school my kids are going to requested there records specifically there cummulative folder they have yet to send anything. When I called to ask for a copy of what they are transfering to the new school they told me they have no records all they have is a copy of there report cards. I contacted the new school to see if they recieved anything yet they said no .They also said it almost appears as if they dont have any records or have lost them. I am sure there will be openings for next year. At the end of the year they were asking if some people forgot to re enroll they appeared to be missing some of the reenrollment forms.I dont think so i am sure alot of people are leaving !
We were so excited when we got in. The school is not what it used to be to say the least. The current adminisration has run the school down. There is no one dictating what goes on and watching to see if the teachers are doing there jobs and there not! Its bizarre and has lead to total incompentance. The current principal has resigned. They are in the process of hiring a new one. The new vice principal is just as awful . So I hold no hope the new pricipal will be any better. The problems are so deep . Many teachers need to be removed and I am sure they wont. Under the former principal they became lazy and very arragaunt knowing there was no one there to make sure they were doing there jobs. This was probably the worst year we have ever had in any school and I would never expose my children to this insanity ever again new principal or not . They need to clean house and start over thats the only hope they have. Some of the teacher were actually mean and abusive . YES !! If you asked for help or queastioned any thing they said pertaining to your child they would get extremely defenisive and then take there anger out on the kids!! Not good at all. This school has major issues.
my son is in kingergarden and my son loves it and i have my other son in second grade he loves it as well..
We are new to this school, but very much in love with it already. The teachers, staff, parent involvement and curriculum are all great.
We aren't just a school - we are one big FAMILY! Very disciplined, challenging, this school takes learning SERIOUSLY! The instructors go out of their way to know my children and are always willing to help.
We started in the middle of the school year, because some other child was asked to leave. I was so excited to have my kindergartner start this because I had heard and read such wonderful things. Only to get a teacher who apparent does not like boys. We have been at Henderson a while now , with the hopes that things would get better. I have to agree with some of the other Parents, Henderson is all Hype. There is a very high turnover for teachers and most of the teacher coming in are new , some have never taught before and honestly, do you want teacher learning to be teachers while trying to teach your child EVERY YEAR.. I am sorry to say we are leaving Henderson at the end of the year. I don t feel my child is getting anything out of being there and there are much better
