The school is "ok" - it has some teachers that are just sick of teaching and going through the motions. If you are a 'lifer' you're all set but a new kid has a heck of a hard time finding help and friends. No one really has even approached us as a new family. And there is a religion sub who tells the children that if you are not Lutheran then you are not a true Christian- that Lutheran is the only religion closest to God. It's a joke. Oh and there's quite the nepotism in the school. Good luck getting something resolved if it involves any of the married couples.
St. Paul's has been consistent from day one. The teachers are loving and kind. They are dedicated individuals who truly love children and understand the hardships of being a parent. My child has life-threatening allergies and the St. Paul's staff has always taken care of my daughter regardless of the extra care needed. We are blessed to part of the St. Paul's Family!
My 2nd and 4th graders are doing very well and ahead of their public school peers as we observe them. There is a lot of homework - sometimes too much. Parents are involved and once you get to know them very nice.
Very disappointed. The teachers were unorganized and the homework every night was unmanageable. I agree with another poster that said that she wondered what her child was doing all day because the amount of homework was ridiculous. The one thing i did like was the parents and friends that my son made. We never had a problem with cliques, the kids I met were great.
My kids have been very happy at St. Paul. The teachers are caring and work well both with gifted children and with struggling learners. I would strongly recommend this school to parents that want a smaller class size, lots of individual attention and hands on learning experiences for their children.
I was disappointed with the lack of attention my child's work was honestly getting. The school is quite expensive for what you receive academically.
This is truely a great school. As a student in the middle school I love it. The only thing I would change is that the school is very cliqey and tiny. Its hard for new people to come in. But after a little bit you find your place. If you are considering sending your child hear, please do! Its wonderful
St. Paul is an amazing school. Their is a very strong Christian atmosphere, and the teachers care about you so very much. I just graduated from St. Paul this year, and what a wonderful experience I've had. I am completely prepared from the academics I've received to move onto high school, and if St. Paul had a high school I would definitely attend. St. Paul has been a blast!
The Best of Boca! We could not be happier. We have been blessed to be able to have our 2 children attend St. Paul. The academics are very strong and the Christian atmosphere is wonderful. Everyone is like family here! I recommend this school to all my friends. They start taking students at 3 years of age and go thru the 8th grade.
St. Paul is a great school. It has been around for 45 years so that says a lot. The staff cares about the children. They offer a terrific art program, a variety of choirs, band, and many competitive sporting programs. The parent teacher league is very active. Check it out!
This school is for robots. The teachers and staff expect the students to do homework until 9:30 at night! The children suffer from anxiety and sleeplessness. This is not a healthy environment for children.
We have been thrilled with St. Paul. The teachers and families are just wonderful. The kids not only get a terrific education, but they learn important values as well. I would not send my children anywhere else.
The school offers a nice community but has big holes in the academics it offers. First, a lot of the teachers are full of love for each child but some of the teachers have been there for ever and have seem to have lost thier joy of teaching. Second, the art program is neat but the music and computer programs are poor.
This school offers a nice community for a family but it has holes in its academics. Some of the teachers are fabulous and love each child for who they are. Others, however, have been teaching too long and need to move on. Good art program but very poor music!
My daughter and son both graduated from SPL. My daughter attended K-8 and my son PS-8. It was a wonderful place to grow up. The teachers/staff and administration care. Sports and activities were great. The Parent Teacher League is very active and welcoming. You can find a home at St. Paul Church and School. Christian education is critical today. We must give our kids a strong base to face today's world.
The teachers are very loving and caring. I love the way they teach the children all about Jesus. The parents are involved and reach out to new families. I like the smaller size, the staff knows you and your children. It is like a family. As a parent the more involved you get the more you get to know the other families. I feel St. Paul is an excellent school academically and socially. I wouldn't send my kids anywhere else.
My children have attended SPL for the past 5 years and I am extremely happy with both the academic and social aspects of the school. The teachers challenge the students to do their absolute best while supporting the student each step of the way. The teachers are caring, kind and know each student by name. There is an amazing art program and a well-run music and band program. There are opportunities for sports-minded kids and arts-minded ones as well. Parents are involved in everyday classroom activities as well as numerous special events. I feel blessed that my children spend each day at St. Paul, where they grow in their love for Christ and where they can experience Christ's love through outstanding teachers and administrators.
There is lots of homework and accelerated work. Most of the teachers are okay, but there are a few that are unfair. The Principal and Dean are wonderful. It's a tough school but you'll get a great education if you stay on task. As far as making friends, the kids stay in cliques and are very material oriented.
My daughter started SPL in fifth grade and has really enjoyed her time there. Students are given many sports opportunities because most sports take everyone who tries out for the different teams. The teachers have been caring and involved. The only problem has been breaking into the cliques at such a small school.
