Three hour lunch breaks are the standard for those who run the school. Good luck scheduling a meeting with the administration if you have real business to conduct or concerns to address. They're always "Out to Lunch" at St. Jude.

To the 1-star below....."there cold not be a worst school"' "appaulling", "comming" - I don't know if it was such a good idea to take your kids out of such a great school with grammar like yours....my child has been at St. Jude's for years. The education is excellent, the sense of community is unique my child loves going to school at St. Jude's...

If you want your child to not only experience a top-notch education, but to learn self-discipline and religious values, this is the school. There is a real sense of community here - you will never get that from a public school. I highly recommend. Teachers here are very accessible and work incredibly hard. After-care program is excellent.

I just read the post from yesterday. And this is exactly what happened to me. There could not be a worst school. I removed my kindergardener and preschooler. I should have called social services on the kindergarden teacher. The way this teacher handles the class and what she did to my child was appaulling. This teacher brags about comming from a family of teachers well she should not be allowed to be around children!

How sad I was to read the two previous posts because my St. Jude experience has and is AMAZING. I'm not a paid plant by the school posting this...I am a parent of a recent St. Jude graduate and an 8th grader. I have witnessed first hand above and beyond care and compassion for my kids in regards to "sensitive" issues. Coming from the public school, I am blessed each day that I bring my child to campus because they are prayed for and supported . My graduate is a 3.5 student in high school and had confidence in his/her ability because of the support, encouragement and challenge he/she received from the entire St. Jude faculty. My experience has led my to not only recommend this school to others, but I've toured with visiting families to talk even deeper with them about St. Jude.

I would definitely think twice about having your child attend this school. My child recently attended the Pre-k program and unfortunately, there were several uncomfortable incidences that took place on the school grounds. I understand that there is no perfect school but the overall feeling that I had when I communicated with the principal and staff, was never warm and welcoming. I was told that things would be taken care of but to not discuss it with other parents because they don't want rumors to fluctuate at their school. What an odd thing to say to a concerned parent. I felt a feeling of cover up was more important to the staff, then the actual incident itself. Be sure to check bathroom door in the three year old classroom/aftercare room and you will clearly see that it doesn't exist. A bit scary when a child is trying to use the restroom and is visible for everyone in the classroom to see. As far as the teachers are concerned, if you feel like you want to be a part of a click, then this is where to go. If not, they will definitely make you feel that you are an outcast.

This school is so nice and religious! My two daughters and son love this school! Thanks to St jude my children are reaching 3 years above their grade level.

My son has been going to St. Jude's for years. It feels that this school is a big family. I am friendly with many parents. The teachers, and especially the Principal, are top-notch. I feel that they genuinely and truly care for the welfare of my son. I feel that my son is pushed academically and would not think of sending him to any other school. My son has about 1 1/2 to 2 hours homework a night. However, it is to his benefit and I am glad to work on it with him. I can see my son's teachers and principals anytime. The after-care at the school is great. They are committed to making sure the children work on school work and also have organized clubs and events for the children to attend. This is no karate after care or just a bunch of babysitters. They work at the school full-time and it is important them that studies come first.

Excellent in all areas. Education, learning experiences, socializing. Great teachers who teach, educate and challenge the students. Keeps parents involved. A no nonsense atmosphere for learning and exercising their religious education. I highly recommend St. Jude Catholic School.

My son is in 5th grade and attended this school since 2nd. He is very happy at St. Jude. We had only great expericences in all areas, education, religion and friends. They are strict but kind. Family oriented, kids and parents are known by their names. Parents participate in many activities and we know each other and our kids. School is equipped with what they need for modern education, 5th grade has smart board and parents get grades and reports on line. My son gets 90% and above in the riverside national test for catholic schools thanks to St. Jude academic level and good teachers. I am greatful teachers at afterschool help kids with homework and integral education while they interact with other kids. Best value of the money compared with other private schools. Highly recomended.

I f you have a son never, ever, ever send him to this school. They will demoralize him. This school is not equipped to handle boys. It is a very female oriented environment and totally favors girls. Academically, they are behind in all aspects and if you really care about sports this is not the place. Most teachers are not even accredited for what they are teaching. I f you take your faith seriously they will not provide the Catholic teaching or faith to inspire you child to continue this path.

The school is going down hill. The math has become such a joke that the local catholic high school Pope John Paul II math teachers tell the parents that children will have to take remedial math. More than half the class has to get private math tutors. No real art or music program. It doesn't have a school nurse. The computer program is really a typing program. No edline. Tests are not given back which would be helpful for studying for cummulative midterms and finals. The gathering center is not really used for any school functions. Most of the HSA money rather than going to the school goes to the church. The church actually has a prayer for raising money for a building that originally was suppose to have a school function but no longer. Athletics? Heck they don't even have an athletic field. They have drive about five miles away to a park. The boys flag football jerseys are old hockey jerseys with the sleeves cut off. The enrollment has dropped significantly over the past year.

My son is very happy in Saint Jude... I believe the teachers are excellent and the principal is very caring and loving to the children... They are behind in technology, however, they are working on it....

School administrators and teachers are kind and caring and school seems academically challenging but is behind in technology. They are just now getting a few smart boards and there is no communication with teachers thru email and parents cannot check on their chid's progress thru internet access. Disappointing especially for the middle school children who don't always communicate their grades and progress with parents. Tuition is increasing every year also.

The school has a wonderful family feel. It is very safe and the work seems to be at grade level. However, every single week they are asking for money donations and for the 2010-2011 they increased tuition $1,500 per year plus fees.

The school is mediocre at best- their computer class? A joke. Half the middle school makes it into NJHS which means everything is easy enough for anyone with half a brain to make it. The school is falling apart because all the church cares is about money to expand the church and let the school go to ruins-

My daughter is very happy here: she has made friends, and always says kind things about her teacher and other staff members. The interaction that I have with the teachers and other staff have been nothing but friendly, supportive and caring. I am pleased with the work she brings home and the progress she is making - She's even added Math as one of her favorite things to learn. We will be attending again next year -
