Teacher effectiveness: Strongly agree

There has been a few changes over the years but so far we have loved all the teachers at Grandview thank you so much.

Amount of homework: Agree

They try to keep the homework to a minimum and take time to do more school stuff at school as a family we love it.

We love this school its like a small town community not like other big school with huge class sizes and teachers that cannot cope. Here at Grandview everyone knows everyone and always help each other. Class sizes are very nice has gotten a little more over the last few years which is good. My son is doing great and we are very happy he is in advanced classes for most things. Not too much homework which is great for the family more quality time to spend with each other. Lots of new stuff does change things but so far has been for the better so we are happy. Thanks Grandview we love you all.

We just love this school, the staff, the curriculum, the aftercare everyone is just so friendly and caring. Very up with the changes in the real world and eager to keep up with the times. Pool and other sports facilities are excellent.

Any parent looking into Grandview for their child needs to know that the academics are subpar. In our experience, the school does a good job of hiding this fact. There are some teachers that go above what is required or expected of them from the administration and teach to the standard level, otherwise expect your child to be learning at below level. The idea that they personalize learning is just not true, it is a marketing strategy.

Every year there is some new-fangled idea that the head of school came up with or read about. Always some new off-the-wall concept. Inconsistent quality of education with teachers coming and going like a revolving door. Seems like always some drama going on. We are moving our children. Had enough.

Terrible follow through and consistency in all areas of the school. Each year will be completely different (not for the good) with no notice to the families. It is not uncommon to see multiple teachers coming and going throughout the school year. The Head of School runs the place like and experiment, changing policies and curriculum on a whim, at the expense of the students. It seems at this point that the Head is just putting out fires as they arise. It's quite a shame to see such a downward spiral for Grandview. We are moving our children at the end of this year and not looking back. We are among many many other families doing the same. Academics are nothing special either.

Teacher effectiveness: Agree

There are teachers that are too soft in their approach. However, majority of the teachers are firm and focussed on learning.

Amount of homework: Agree

I share the same ethos with the school that children should be given the chance to enjoy their childhood and not bombarded with homework.

Develops character: Strongly agree

They resolve issues fairly and promptly. In times of complex, they listen to both parties involved.
