Not as good as you think. After leaving the school with disgusted I found my worst fears were true, my child was severally under grade level. The first assignment test taken at the new school score was a 1 (only because they don t give zeros). I had expressed concerns over the three years we attended Boca Charter and was assured my child was on grade level. We experienced lots of teacher turnover and inconsistency with daily classroom routines. Class room size is small, however so it the school we attend now that has over 1600 students. My child has improved with each passing month and is now on or above grade level in all subjects. This school may work for some just not my family.

What a wonderful school, I moved my kids from an out of county school to this one. That was a very smart move for my family. I am more than pleased with the principal, the teachers, and the staff, they really do care about the kids as a whole. They do push the students to be the very best they could be; the curriculum is not centered on FCAT,which was the problem from my kids previous school, but on educating them the way it should be. I give them A++++ for doing an excellent job.

When I was looking for a school for my granddaughter I wanted one that would challenge her ability with a good educational program and a teacher that would see her potential. I also wanted a school where the classes were small so that there was more one on one with the teacher. This school surpassed my expectations. Not only do they have a terrific challenging academic program, her teacher is loving and attentive. The principal is terrific and truly takes an interest in each and every child attending this school. I have nothing but great things to say about Boca Raton Charter School. My Granddaughter has blossomed into a beautiful girl who is interested in a multitude of subjects. She loves her teacher, her principal and her classmates and her school. I give Boca Charter School 5 stars.

This has been so far, the best school my kids attend, we moved from out of state and they had a good private education in MA, however, the excellent teachers we are fortunate to have here, the good leadership of the principal, a hard working parents coordinator and the small and personalized environment makes the perfect combination for a 100% quality education. Great after school program is a plus.

Not happy with the school at all! Lots of promises about options which don't really exist. The teachers are great but the administrator needs a wake up call! This is not a IB school!

This is a special school. The teachers are passionate. They care about the students and want them to get the best education. More parents need to see that this type of school and teaching is good for the children.

About the tests

Florida uses School Grades to measure the overall performance of a school each year on the Florida Comprehensive Assessment Test (FCAT). Each school is assigned a letter grade (A-F) based on three criteria: the overall performance on the FCAT, the percentage of eligible students who took the test, and whether or not students made progress in reading and math. The School Grades are calculated by adding points earned from each of the performance criteria listed above.
