I love this school and more importantly, so do my children! The teachers are the best!
Not only do I see hard working and dilligent educators working well past required hours, I see teachers who care about the academic and emotional needs of the students. I see all of this through the eyes of my children who are comforted when they are sad, encouraged when something has been hard, and caring enough to look out for their overall well being. My children LOVE going to school because of the teachers. If you can't see that - you're obviously not at this school often. This school is an A+!!!
Something is missing in this school. I think a parent has to feel that their children are in a nice environment when they go to school. And I feel that my son is just going to school and learning things, nothing more. Don't think the teachers care too much to understand the needs of most students. Mine just moved from another country. It's not easy for a kid to find new friends and fast. I am sure not all parents ask for help, I did and nothing happened. They are too busy thinking about the FCAT's.
It is wonderful to see that parents realize how much the teachers and staff have gone through this past year. We endured it all and did right by the children. This school has one of the hardest working and most dedicated staffs of any school ever! Please know that the reason the parent pick-up procedure was changed was because of a real concern for the safety of the children, not for our pleasure. It takes more time out of our planning time to be on duty out there, but the children are calmer and there is no one grabbing kids as we walk out with them. Yes, it might take you 5 minutes longer, but your child will not be run over in the process. Thanks to all of you have been cooperative and supportive!!!!
I believe what once was an "A" school is no longer. The teachers and staff do not care about the children's well being.
I have a child in 2nd grade and I am greatful he has such a wonderful and caring teacher. Ms.Lessne is one of the best teachers I have found and made my once struggling child into a child who comes home every night and wants to read!! The school overall is great and I can't wait for my other child to start kindergarten there in two years.
I like this school less and less. It has gone from being Parent friendly to anti parent. Afternoon pick up is a disaster and takes at least an hour for a routine that should take less than half of that. School administration/board decided to change the procedure without any meeting or input from the parents who are so adversely affected by the extra time, fuel and stress it takes us to tackle it now. I am very disappointed and angered that the school has done this.
The principal and vice principal have little to no concern for parents or parents opinions. Thier way or the highway.
The drop off and pick up at this school is a nightmare , be ready to get to te school a half hour in advance or more to drop of or pick up your child. They even told my kid to ge back in the car while I was trying to drop her off and move to a different location to drop her off. Very frustrating
Excellent teachers, I am very satisfied with this school.
