I have gone to this school since kindergarten and I am now in 5th grade. This school has the best teachers, and I am a safety patrol in the gifted class. I have the best teacher there is in this school and I always had. I can wait to go to middle school because the one I have to go to (woodlands) sounds like a terrible school. The school I want to go to is Christa mcauliffe so I will have friends and it doesn't seem as bad as woodlands does. I know I am only a student but I surely recommend this school for your pk-5 grader.
Crystal lakes elementary is a wonderful school. The principal is very responsive & all the teachers & staff are very helpful in making our child's education the optimal experience!!
I going to move to another state, this school is amezing. I hope we find a school like this.
I am considering moving to this school boundary with my 9 year old and soon to be 5 year old. I would like to know if Crystal Lakes have school chorus? Is this a uniform based school? What are the highlights of this school and sets it apart from the others?
I love this school. It is a great little neighborhood school. The kids feel comfortable because they don't get lost in the shuffle. The teachers are caring and I feel like we're very blessed to have our kids go here.
Most of the teachers are fabulous. The PTA is amazing. However, I think the principal is a bit out of touch and needs to focus more on educational aspects and less on minor infractions of the dress code. I also think she singles certain parents out and attempts to "give them a hard time" about minor things. Unfortunately, it seems sometimes her personal agenda outweighs the benefits of coordinating with genuinely involved parents. The Assistant principal is quite good and seems to genuinely care about the students.
Crystal Lakes Elementary has a truly amazing & dedicated staff rivaled by no other. The principal, nurse, teachers, counselors and coordinators take their roles in the students education and well being very serious and do whatever necessary to provide the best environment for the children. While arranging a 504 plan for my son, they went above and beyond what was required to ensure his needs were met. Even the disctrict staff was involved to resolve conflicts and serve the needs of my son. I cannot say enough about this school...they are the best I've ever seen and deserve the highest marks.
This is a great school where the teachers are great and we have a great PTA.
I am pleased to say that my doughter since she arrived from PR and not knowing how to read or write in english she has learened alot with the help of all her teachers. I feel so proud that the teachers in Crystal lake Elementary do know how to work and educate there students.
This school is fantastic! Great teachers and an amazingly involved PTA!
We are a NCLB family from another school that was awful. CLE..... what a wonderful environment! I love this school and the administration is amazing! I have nothing but the highest regards for all the staff here. Teachers make learning fun, teaching is not all about the 'FCAT' as in so many other schools. Lots to do, always something going on. High parent involvement which is key... teachers are happy to be here, as are the students. That says alot!! I'm soooooo glad and proud to be part of CLE!!!!
My child moved to Crystal Lakes from another school that he was very comfortable with. The teachers and administration made his transition very smooth. I was very impressed to see both the Assistant Principal and Principal out and about the campus. It's nice to see them supervising and talking to students.
Completely impressed! This was my son's first day of school ever. I think the whole staggered start for the kindergartners was a marvelous idea. That way the students were not overwhelmed. Worked out perfectly! Also there is great communication between parent and staff. No time delay at all I feel very well informed. I don't think my son could have gotten a more caring and understanding teacher either, Mrs. Gruenberg. We are truly looking forward to the rest of the school year.
I think that Crystal Lakes, like any school, has it good and bad points. I believe that some teachers are more adept at teaching and handling all different children and their personalties. I think that the principal is clueless and very cold. My child loves school and can't wait to learn. I believe that love comes from all of his teachers, including music, art & p.e. Overall he is very happy and learns a great many things.
I have had children at this school for 10 years running. Cursio-Graves principal is relatively new. The A rating is based on prior years. Extremely disappointed in the manner in which bright children are 'dummed down' rather than encouraged to succeed to their full potential. It is counter-productive to insist on such a 'balance' in each classroom rather than having any advanced opportunity groups. The ESE program my child was put in took time away from learning other subjects to be pulled out and spoon fed. My child did not substantially improve with it.
Not very happy with kindergarten teach, but I think I just got a bad seed. The SACC counselors are wonderful and very caring. The Principal is not very friendly either and seems clueless.
This is a great A rated school. The parental involvement is incredible. The teachers are well organized and are on top of everything.
This is a great A rated school in a good area. There is high parental involvement and a great after care program.
