My daughter has attended Samoset Elementary every year since kindergarden and it is sad to know this will be her last year there. She comes home with offers for extracurricular activities often and enjoys her music competition every year. The teachers and staff at this school are wonderful and very supportive. I went to this school as a child and some of the same staff members are still there, so that may make me biased. The largest problem I see with this school is the lack of parental involvement. The majority of failing students at this school are from family's who do not get involved and do not ensure that their children are doing what needs to be done. This is important because this school has a low grade and I don't feel it is the fault of the staff and teachers.
This is a great school. The teachers and staff really care about the kids and go the extra mile to help out any way that they can. You are always welcome to come for the day or to just stop by.
