Extremely pleased with this school! The high academic standards are second to none in the county. For the majority of children attending, if they follow the rules (which are enforced!) and work hard, they have a very positive experience. The only complaints I hear are from parents who children have either behavior problems or social problems and they feel that somehow the school has a responsibility to "fix" it. My own experience, as well as the many, many others I know, has found the teachers and administration very caring and VERY focused on student success. If you want rigorous standards that will prepare your child for high school academically and socially, this is the place.

I like this school for the teachers, but this school has organization issues and lack of leadership. They sweep lots of behaviour and bullying issues under the rug calling it Horseplay on paper to make it look good. Their is alot of favortisim at this school and clickiness, I am disappointed in the administration! This is an undisciplined school.

Martha B King is a great school. My daughter is in the sevent grade now and she still loves the school and enjoys attending. The teachers pay attention to their students and show interest in each of them. They motivate the kids well. We are very pleased with King and their faculty and administration.

I used to go to king but I moved I and loved going their and seeing all my friends. I think it is the best school I've gone to so far. I go to a different school now and it isn't near as good as king.

I have 2 children going to this school one in 7th and one in 8th. This school is not very good with accommadating special needs children. Education wise they are above par compared with other schools in the area but behind other states.

Someone needs to look at establishing what constitutes 'above and beyond' harrassment of students and establish a policy to limit non-productive rules.

The teachers at King Middle School are very devoted to making sure that their students get the education they need to survive out in the real world. The music system is wonderful and they work on every little thing to make sure the students will do their best at a performance. Physical education explores a new sport every few weeks, but sometimes doesn't get into a sport enough to learn it all the time. The parents are very involved and help to make decisions on the school. The programs at King Middle School are all around five star rating, although the current situation that the students have to be taken out to Braden River Highschool is a little frustrating and lowers the performance of students a little less than usual.

Children at King Middle School are barraged with constant favoritism and unfairness from teachers and staff. By only enforcing rules of dress code and behavior upon children of lower economic status, students here receive a harsh lesson in the uglier side of upper-middle class materialism and narrow mindedness. In their time at King Middle, my daughters (who later attended prestigious colleges) suffered at the hands of immature, catty teachers who only taught children to conform.

Both of my sons attended King Middle School. I agree with the other parents who said that it is the best public middle school in Manatee County. Everyone who lives in the area knows it. My step children who went to a private school in Michigan, didn't recieve the quality of education our children got here.
