I have two students at this school and have always been pleased with their education, the teachers and staff, and the security. My first child started here 5 years ago, so I have had years of experience with Bashaw. I have never had a concern that was not addressed, either by phone or in person. I know as a parent volunteer, that the campus is secure and I feel my children are safe when they are in school. I feel lucky that this was the school in our district.

Bashaw is a great school. Mr Bennett and Mrs Stancil lead this school with a focus on school first. Bashaw offers a math fair and science fair open to all students and family. In addition, two fantastic programs focusing on physical education (Jump for Fun) and the annual Art and Music festival. Students can elect to participate in chorus (grade 3 and up), a science club (grade 4 and 5), news crew, recycling club, and safety patrol. The teachers at Bashaw love the students and work hard to make sure there is a good mix of education, learning and fun. Bashaw does offer gifted classes. Parental invovlment is not a strong as it could be. The PTO does work hard to offer family fun along with fundraising. The majority of the PTO budget goes directly back to the school in the form of additional monies for teachers, professional assemblies, support for the math fair, library books, AR Web Access, special wish list items, and many other things.

Bashaw offers a great fundamental education for our children, and in addition, the school has a summer camp, science club, runners club, math fair and science fair. The FCAT scoring system is not a reliable manner to rate schools because, for example, Bashaw has a high number of students with special needs, and ESOL students who take the FCAT too. I am pleased my children really feel part of the Bashaw Family and they have pride in their school. Get involved with your kid's school: it enriches their education and makes great memories for both of you!

Bashaw is a wonderful school with great staff members who truly care about the students. My two children have received a great education the last 5 years they have attended. They have both needed extra help in different areas and their teachers have always stepped up to give them the extra attention they needed.

I am a Bashaw parent and staff member. When my oldest daughter started Bashaw I decided to become very active in the PTO and school events. My dedication to my children and their education led me to becoming a staff member. I can say as a parent we have some of the VERY BEST staff that are dedicated to all the students of Bashaw. The Administration and PTO are always open to questions, suggestions and comments. We are working together to build our future.

Both of my children are in gifted classes at this school which was something that they definately needed to challenge them. It is a fantastic program! Also one of my children is in speech therapy and in just a few months you can't even tell he needed it in the first place. My experience with this school has been great. Ms. Walker is the BEST teacher EVER...she's like superwoman!!!! She lives and breathes her students and their successes.

I have taught at Bashaw for 11 years and am also a state licensed security guard. I am not aware of any lacking security issues at our school. If a parent feels there is, I certainly would hope they would address it to the administration.
