I really like St. Stephens. We've been sending our child there for 7 years now. The teachers & support staff are wonderful with the exception of one so far and the other parents we have met along the way are great as well. However, I do feel the school cares a lot more about it's image & pocketbook more than anything. The annual tuition is ridiculous and continues to go up in price about 1k each year. But I guess that's the price we have to pay for the many children AND grandchildren of staff members who attend the school at a highly discounted price, if not free! This will unfortunately be our last year at this school.

Our children attend Saint Stephen's and we couldn't be happier! The faculty/staff truly know each of our three children and embrace their individual qualities. The PK3-12 campus creates a unique and caring community that develops, challenges and supports each child at the appropriate level. I highly recommend Saint Stephen's. If there were a sixth star - I'd give it!

Great School, but can't just work really hard and get good grades, you have to be gifted too.

Saint Stephen's is an amazing school! Not only are my children receiving a world class education, they are happy EVERY day. The overall environment is nurturing and truly feels like an extension of family. The children enjoying the arts as well as an excellent sports program. And the academics are challenging enough to accommodate gifted children as well as those who need some assistance along the way. I disagree wholeheartedly with a parent below who stated that the school is only concerned with their bank account. My family has never been in a position to donate much extra to the school but we received help and additional resources for our children numerous times. This is a school who truly cares about helping each, individual student be the best they can be. And the teachers are phenomenal! We cannot say enough good things about the St. Stephen's community!

I am so grateful to be able to send my daughter here. She truly loves her school, her teachers, and her friends from St. Stephen's. The curriculum is challenging and the teachers could not be more supportive or engaging. I've never made a better choice and although it's a financial sacrifice, it is well worth the many rewards.

Saint Stephen's offers an education that is 2nd to none in this area. Not only are the academics world class but the athletics and arts are excellent. My son graduated from Saint Stephen's in 2007. His college experience was wonderful and so much of that can be attributed to the education he received at Saint Stephen's. He learned how to speak confidently in front of a large group, how to entertain during school assemblies, how to study and succeed and how to be part of a team. After graduating from college he was hired by an excellent company and is continuing to use his Saint Stephen's skills to succeed in his career. Thank you to all the teachers and administrators that made such a positive difference.

There are some great people here, but the school is very concerned with its bank account and image. If a child is falling behind, it will be suggested that he/she switches school. Often times, students go to other local private schools for help- that's double the money! If you aren't willing to donate a library/wing/etc., this isn't a school that will offer any help.

This is an unethical, hypocritical school. I cannot recommend a school that does not stand by their honor code and is manipulated by money.

Overall, this is a great school. I had many wonderful experiences here; however it became apparent during my senior year (in '03) just how money oriented this establishment is. At the time, the new Upper School was finishing construction and it seemed as if the success and overall reputation of the school seemed to take precedence over the students' overall well being. What a disappointment! I was also severely disappointed with the school counseling system (and overall student support system.) Hopefully, this has changed, as I would never want another student to experience the lack of support I did. My family contributed so much to this school, and I contributed as well with my volunteering and involvement. Overall, I enjoyed my time here and the teachers I worked with. I would recommend this school to anyone. It definitely is a great academic atmosphere, and I am hoping they have developed more of a solid school counseling program for students who struggle or need additional assistance. Despite my semi-negative experiences here, it has pushed me into my current career field. I am now finishing up my Master's of Science in School Counseling, and I couldn't be more happy.

Our family has been at Saint Stephen's for 12 years and I can honestly say that it truly is a World-class Education! All 4 of my children are excelling in the many opportunities provided to them; academics, athletics, the arts, and volunteerism. The falculty and staff are extremely caring, nuturing and approachable. Our children are taught that making mistakes is part of the learning process and are encouraged to actively participate in class. Saint Stephen's encourages our children to be active learners, confident, self sufficient individuals, and to always strive to be the best that they can be.

Nurturing and challenging all in one. This school provides your child with every opportunity that all children deserve. From Mandarin to Marine Science, there is not an acadmic arena untouched. The teachers guide your child to the next level of higher thinking while making the learning process fun for all.. If you have the opportunity to visit the school for a tour...do so...you will not be disappointed!

Academic rigor, excellent sports, fine and performing arts all within a culture that values family involvement. This will be the best investment you can give your child as 100% of its graduates go to great colleges! We have been so pleased having all three of our children attend Saint Stephen's. They have made friends for life while developing a love for learning that will be within them for life. You will not find a more caring faculty to help guide your child to fulfill his/her potential. On a scale of 1 to 10, this is definitely a 10!

As a parent of two graduates, I can't say enough good things about Saint Stephen's. My daughters were not only well prepared for college academically, but emotionally and socially as well. The small class sizes, the dedicated faculty, and the strong focus on character education at Saint Stephen's helped them to become the students and young adults they are today. Thank you Saint Stephen's!

The school has a community spirit to it. Small enough that your child has a name and is not a number, but large enough to have great diversity. The academic program is outstanding and a wide range of athletic programs to choose from. Parents with graduates tell me their child was well prepared for college when they left Saint Stephens.

The parent involvement is tremendous. We have 3 kids at St Stephen's and they all love it and fit right in. They are definitely being challenged, but the teachers are always open to help. Our 10th Grader chose it over Manatee high, despite the lack of a drum line, and he hasn't regretted it.

If your child is a bright, traditional learner, St. Stephen's is the best school in town. No other will expect your child to excel as this school will. However, if your child is 'outside the box,' the pressure and pace can be overwhelming.
